Logic: Why gay marriage won't work.

Fri Oct 7, 2005, 4:41 PM
Reasons People Have For Being Against Gay Marriage

1) Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, liposuction and air conditioning.

2) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

3) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.

4) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.

5) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Britney Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.

6) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.

7) Obviously, gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

8) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.

9) Children can never succeed without both a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.

10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans...

Copy/Paste this to your journal or myspace bulletin if you support Gay Marriage and believe that the majority of those who don't are closed minded homophobes and ignorant religious fanatics who know nothing about what it means to love another person regardless of any prejudices.

100 PVs later and I have posted nothing. What are you people LOOKING at?

Wal Mart fsked up my 15 rolls of film. Consequently, I have become indifferent to the starving artist within. I am bitter, I say; BITTER.

Life, art: Full of negatives and nothing good to look at. It's not even worth the time, money, or effort.

Maui Pics, Part II

Tue Aug 2, 2005, 4:00 PM
I just got back from a pretty long stay in Maui. I'm not sure how many rolls of film I used, but I'm estimating around 15. Which, at $7 per roll to develop (prints and CD, hopefully courtesy of mah brother because he wanted them)..

May take a while.
You know. For funds. The big bucks. You know. The cash. The check-age. The greenback. You know. A little dinero. A few pesos. The riches? The beans? The Almighty Dollar? The loot-age? The moolah? The dough and ducats?
You know. The money. :eyes:

...sorry about that. I've been watching too much Family Guy...

But I'm really excited anyway.

Now I just have to catch up on all the pictures I've been meaning to post for months.. I'm such a slacker. :D

Awwieee..!

I'm a sucker for a sob story. Like, a lot. =/

A lot of us get into ruts, but not many will actively do something about it.. And when money is needed, it's rare that someone will offer valuable work for as little as $1.

That's right.. Commissions for as little as one dollar.

You guys should all check out ~thejackbull and donate if you possibly can. Her artwork is awesome, and it's always nice to spread the love.

Question!

Is it illegal to post pictures of people who didn't really give you permission to take pictures of them?

-sneaks about craftily, taking pictures of random restaurant workers from behind a counter-

..what..? I'm sure they'll be useful later..

-coughs-
